A rant

It was an off day. I probably should have tried to stay in bed and pretend it didn’t happen. I was clumsy all day, and really didn’t do too well on the decision front. Most of this post is going to be a rant,

I listened to the radio while working today, and heard some very disturbing things.

The first of which was some purported terrorist that claimed to be a previous U.S. citizen, threatening the U.S. that an upcoming attack will dwarf 9/11 and that “the streets will run with blood”. I’ve been waiting for an attack on the eve of the elections, so this got me thinking some. Not worried, but I took note.

Then I hear a story that I haven’t heard yet, and I have a feeling may not hit mainstream media. And it’s huge. Here’s a clickety.. This could sway the vote in favor of Bush, and rightfully so. But even bigger than that, it implicates Russia as aiding an opponent in a US war. I mean they were implicated before hand when they were helping jam our weapons systems during the initial war. So now I’m hearing reports that they could have moved WMDs from Iraq to Syria as well? I see this as a possible justification for a war against Syria and possibly a restarting of the cold war with Russia. I hope Bush wouldn’t be so silly as to start a war with Russia without taking a diplomatic approach. But that’s why I don’t want to vote for him, I’m worried he’s a war monger.

Combine these two things, and you’ve got Bush re-elected, and the beginnings of WWIII at the same time. The American people would be so fired up, they’ll jump in. Fuck, if people I know get hurt, I’d be tempted to jump in and fight. I may be something of a pacifist when it comes to foreign policy, but mess with me or mine at home, the gloves come off and the weapons sharpened. I think a lot of the peace people out there are the same way.

But you know, some good things happened: I read to Teva’s class today, and thoroughly enjoyed that. And Matara had her play this evening, and sang in the choir. Also, most of what I am worried about could be a complete crock.

Either way, keep your eyes open people, and for god’s sake, tip the pizza driver!!

Wow…

Some of you know I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a motorcycle. The practical side of it is, well there really isn’t one. Heh.

But if I was going to keep up with the Jones, and was extremely reckless, I’d try and get a hold of one of these. Sorta sport bike, sorta cruiser, big air cooled engine, 90 HP, and bad ass looking..

90HP! That’s more than the company jet had! Good thing I have to keep up with the Jones in a Subaru with two pizzas riding shotgun…

Click the picture people, the folks at Yamaha are on to something I think..

Something’s up. The house is restless tonight. Kaya keeps getting up and pacing, Teva just came upstairs, and I’m far from sleep. I want to sleep, but it’s just not happening..
