Wow. I’m going again. I’m not sure when, but soon. For at least a month! Both the kids will come with me this time. It’s the trip of a lifetime. Mangos, lychee, and malasadas await.

Makapu’u in the morning will be a treat. Sublime glassy sunrise barrels. Oh wonderful early morning sea!

Thanks to my Mom for helping the opportunity to happen.

Fah fah.

School is out! Life should be a bit more hectic for a while I think. Today the kids slept in as late as they could. Teva pointed out, “Really Dad, the weekends don’t matter anymore. At least for 3 months, because we don’t have any school!” I still haven’t decided if that was a good thing or a bad thing to him.

Emma was here for a bit, she’s off to Cece and Collin’s now. It was a great visit, we got a garden put in, visited some friends up in Cheyenne, and just loafed around in general. She brought Rick-a-roo, who fended for himself pretty well I’d say, given the fact that Teva just can’t get enough of the poor bird.

Oh, Suke and Gabe are back, living at Rachel’s for the moment. It will be an interesting summer for sure.

Gracías mi Amigos!

I have new shingles on my roof. One day, and at least 36 man hours. The kids helped, laying out shingles, and having a good time in general. Mad Props to Ron and Mark for helping me out, I wouldn’t have attempted the adventure without their help. It’s good to have friends who will show up to help with manual labor!

Needless to say, I can barely move today. I thought it would be my back that would kill me, but it’s my legs. Hoo-Wee!

Errr…

A great evening. Out with RJP and crew till 1 or 2 am, a night of carousing to remember. I don’t think I actively won one game of pool. Thanks to Kendal for getting everyone home safely. :) I got home at some ungodly hour, and who would be sitting in my kitchen, hanging out all by his lonesome? of course! We stayed up late, laughing and talking about god knows what. Oh, and baking cookies. Mmmmm. My camera abandoned me in the name of art and is now out with him.

RJ is a champ. He made it into work by 8:30. Lord knows how he pulled it off. On a side note: There is a new Tortillerilla in town, just north of Discount Tire. Hands down the best tortillas around, I ate 4 of them driving home.

Over the Wall

Yesterday was my last day at Aqua. I went out with the gang for a celebratory bash. Someone, I think it was Wayne (always the funny) congratulated me on making it over the wall. I like that analogy, it brings up some humorous imagery. Today is a day of recovery, and of little planning. I’ve got some ideas going through my head, who knows how they’ll pan out. I’ll worry about that later. Just call me the grasshopper. Or better yet, grasshoppah.
