Anticipation

Tevaboy

A pretty good day so far. A day of recollections. Perfect for posting old pictures. Here’s one of Teva back in August of 2002. We were stalking along the Puma Trail, in search of the ever elusive “elk logs”. We finally found one bedded down under a tree. Teva put the sneaks on it, and shot it twice. You can see the first arrow embedded in the log, and the second arrow in the air..(that’s what makes this picture so neat) Needless to say, the elk log was mortally wounded, it didn’t even get up!

I sure up looking forward to some green time. Everything here is so cold and grey..

A shout out to my Dad, who took me on trips like this when I was little. Thanks Dad!

Flat

Oh no!

An odd night to be sure, I’m feeling…flat, but content. I went through some old photos to remind myself of some of the fun things I’ve done and shared with others. Of course, the ocean came into it, she always does. Here’s Ron, learning the old adage ‘Never turn your back on the sea..’

I can’t wait to get back and watch the sun come up from the tube. A high pressure sand scrubbing of your sinuses is a great way to start the day.

The Pied Piper

Matara
We went to see Matara’s class do ‘The Pied Piper’ tonight. It was great, with all the chaos you would expect of a play made up of 65 or so 3rd graders. Here she is!

Willow

I took this one a while ago over at 4710. His name is Willow, and he’s as cool if not cooler than he looks. He likes to retrieve things from the sea.

I took D-O-G out for a walk again, this time with Uncle Né. I’ll have to get a good picture of D-O-G to post as well. She’s a great dog.

Other that that, it’s been a somewhat complicated day. Stress at work, and stress from a far. One of these days though, it will be simple. Yup. Sara did send me some pictures she took in Palau, really cool. Wonderful distraction in my day. I’ll ask her permission to post one or two. Maybe the rest of you will get lucky, and get to see the shell picture.

Contrary to popular belief, benzene rings are not good for you…

Home Home on the Range

Teva, Kaya and I just got back from the archery range. They added an Olympic range (50-90 meters), sweet! I couldn’t resist, and let a few fly. I’m not nearly sighted in for that distance right now, and lost 3 arrows. I’m happy though! I’m thinking about getting another recurve rig set up so I can shoot 90m again. It was a nice evening. The D-O-G was a bit of a handful though.
